Where it all started.
Ross Jackson Tang Soo Do was founded in the Hawkesbury region west of Sydney Australia in 1986 by a then young Mr Jackson after the retirement of his instructor Mr Joe Meissner and is the first school and headquarters of Tang Soo Do Australia.
Over the past two and a half decades Ross Jackson Tang Soo Do has taught possibly thousands of men, women and children the art of Tang Soo Do. But the schools’ philosophy is not about fighting; in fact fighting outside of the class under any circumstances other than self-defence or competition is grounds for expulsion. The goal of all Tang So Do instructors is to promote civil and community minded ethics in all of their students and have those students be an asset to society.
After so many years Master Jackson, his school and his students have earned a reputation in martial arts circles, not only for their technical proficiency in the art of Tang Soo Do but also for their vast knowledge of the art as well as their attitude towards life.
